This savvy job candidate decided to take it to the next level. She called the Tee & Cakes Cake Hotline from the East Coast to have this cake made and delivered to woo a potential employer into getting her a job. One of those highly regarded ad agencies around here, I believe... With the market ultra competitive these days, every little bit helps. And I gotta say, a cake is a good-tasting and light-hearted approach to a stressful thing like job hunting. We certainly applaud her creative approach. And remember, kids, here is nothing wrong with sweetening up the boss. This cake was created from a photo of the candidate's very own shoe, which she intends to wear to the interview. The shoe, not the cake. The cake will have already been eaten. Yum yum!

In another job-seeking attempt, we printed this candidate's resume on edible paper and placed it on a cake to be delivered to a potential employer.

Our baker, Rachel, came across this awesome magazine illustration of the many mustaches that are possible. Each day we are doing a different stache/cupcake combo for the month of October for a WONDERFUL CHARITY. This style is called "Imperial." Damn skippy. Each time someone buys a cupcake with a STACHE on it we will donate proceeds to this great cause. Today was beer cupcakes with an IMPERIAL STACHE on it. Truly inspirational.

Tee & Cakes takes 1st in Denver Cupcake Eating Contest.

Back in June Tee & Cakes had a cupcake eating contest and Jimmy "Jimin Eater" Mares lost by a narrow cupcake margin. And it was so close the sanctioning organization issues a sudden death elimination. Jimmy lost by just a little bit again. This never sat well with us, so we decided to sponsor his comeback in the competitive eating world for the Shoppe's 4th of July cupcake eating contest.

The rules state that there must be an eater: Jimmy. And an "assistant," which clearly would be Tee & Cakes co-owner and Cupcake Cram co-creator Brian Wood.

Here is some of the fun that went down during, before and after Jimmy and I's victory. 24.5 Cupcakes in 5 minutes.

Golf cupcakes + squirrel = happy place

Even though the "Tee" in Tee & Cakes is named for our apparel line, we sure do have a soft spot for golf. And squirrels. This wonderful scene portrayed here is from one super customer who decided to capture a few of her favorite things in a photograph. It took our Father's Day Cupcakes to a whole new level. As you can tell, her spirit animal is the woodland critter and the way she balanced the golf, cupcakes and the common tree squirrel is like none other we have ever seen.
